Enhancing urban mobility with GTFS data

GTFS Static & Realtime

GTFS Static & Realtime

Our cloud transit tools, eQconnect and eQrepository, empower public transport authorities and operators to efficiently generate and share GTFS data. GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) offers a standardized format for sharing transit schedules, routes, and live location data. GTFS Static provides network details, schedules, and frequencies for accurate trip planning, while GTFS Realtime delivers dynamic updates on bus locations, arrival predictions, and service alerts, benefiting both Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) applications and passengers. This enables cities to optimize transport systems for resilient urban mobility and multi-modal transport.

  • Efficient trip planning

Access to real-time updates and live vehicle location enhances public transport usage and inclusivity. It allows people to smoothly plan their journey, reducing wait times and manage their time more efficiently.

  • Passenger-centric transport

Real-time transit data improves route and schedule management, enabling optimized routes that prioritize public needs and contribute to a more people-centric public transport system while reducing CO2 emissions.

  • Data-driven decisions

Access to comprehensive transit data via GTFS empowers cities to make informed decisions on infrastructure investments, service expansions, and policy changes to better serve residents and visitors.

Enabling GTFS Static data - eQrepository

eQrepository simplifies the setup and population of transit networks with terminals, stops, routes, and depots, whether through manual data input or by importing existing GTFS Static files. The cloud transit tool aids authorities in effortlessly keeping GTFS Static data up to date and accessible for local stakeholders.

Enabling GTFS Realtime data - eQconnect®

With our eQconnect® cloud transit tool, bus operators can easily generate GTFS Realtime data. The tool simplifies vehicle registration, driver management, and GPS device activation, while also enabling seamless integration by importing GTFS Static data, including stops, routes, and schedules. GTFS Realtime data is automatically generated by connecting vehicles to blocks and trip IDs, and tracking their live positions. GTFS Data comes as three APIs; vehicle location, trip updates and service alerts, which are automatically exported as GTFS Realtime feeds.
